In November 15, 2004, the footwear industry association of Longwan was formally established and held its first general meeting at The Dynasty Hotel.
    
Xu Yong, director general of China Leather Industry Association, vice chairman and Secretary General of Zhejiang Leather Association Li Weijuan, vice mayor Ye Jiren of Wenzhou Municipal People's government, Chen Xiqiang of Wenzhou leather and leather industry association, deputy director of Longwan District People's government, Shi Yue Fang, director of bureau of regional economy and trade, Zhang Xianming, director of District Civil Affairs Li Aba, and other leaders attended the conference.
    
The conference was presided over by Li Shouchun, deputy director of the Longwan economic and Trade Bureau. Li Aba, director of the Longwan district administration of civil affairs, read the government's approval document, and the invited host read the list of congratulations. The General Assembly heard the preparatory work report of the footwear industry association of Longwan, and deliberated the articles of association of industry associations, the rules and regulations of trade associations, the list of members of the first Council, the president, executive vice president, vice president and secretary general.
    
Ji Kewang, chairman of Zhejiang special shoe industry Co., Ltd., was elected as the first president. Yu Jiansheng, general manager of Zhejiang, was elected vice president. At the meeting, the relevant leaders awarded the association, marking the formal establishment of the footwear industry association of Longwan District of Wenzhou. The newly elected president Ji Kewang made a speech at the founding meeting.
    
The founding meeting also hired senior consultants, senior advisors, Honorary Presidents, honorary vice presidents, consultants and other relevant personages of the footwear industry association of Longwan district.
Zhu Wensong, chairman of the Longwan District of the Wenzhou Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and Yin Guoxing, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Longwan District People's Congress of Wenzhou, were appointed senior advisors of the association. The former vice chairman of Wenzhou CPPCC and Zheng Pu, former president of the General Chamber of Commerce, were appointed senior advisors. Shi Yue Fang, deputy district head of Longwan District of Wenzhou, was appointed honorary president of Longwan footwear industry association. The general assembly also hired Zhang Xianming, director of the Longwan Communications Bureau, and Li Aba, director of Longwan district administration of civil affairs as vice chairman of the Honorary Committee, engaging Huang Xiuqing, Li Changjiang, Huang Jianfang, Wu Qingliang, Wu Linan and other comrades as consultants of the association.
    
The output value of shoe industry is becoming more and more important in the national economy of Longwan district. Last year, Longwan district engaged in shoes, shoes, shoes and equipment manufacturing enterprises more than 300, the annual output value of about six billion yuan, nearly 100 enterprises exported to all parts of the world. Longwan is an important production base for women's shoes in Wenzhou. The production of women's shoes accounts for about 75% of the national footwear enterprises. Wenzhou Longwan Footwear Association has 189 member enterprises.
    
A total of more than 350 guests and members attended the meeting. The conference also specially invited professional media such as Beijing leather and China leather.
