China Resources Vanguard Co. Ltd. (abbreviated as c.r.v.) is a large-scale retail chain enterprise with nationwide development. Large scale comprehensive supermarket is a relatively mature model formed in the process of development, with an average area of about 15000 square meters and a complete range of goods, which can meet the "one-stop" shopping needs of consumers to the greatest extent. Comprehensive supermarket is a new type of business, covering an area of 4000 to 6000 square meters, mainly engaged in fast moving consumer goods. Standard supermarket area is less than 2000 square meters, relying on community residents, emphasizing convenience function.

In 2002, the total number of employees of China Resources Wanjia exceeded 18000, ranking seventh among China's top 100 retail enterprises with sales of 8.6 billion yuan, and ranked No.1 in the same industry in Guangdong Province. As of June 2003, it has opened 470 stores in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing and Tianjin.
